제1차 성경신학 국제학술대회(2013년 10월 20일)

대회에 앞서

먼저 본 대회를 허락해주신 하나님께 감사를 드립니다.
그리고 Grag G. Bartolomew박사께서 본 대회 초청에 응해주신 것에 대해 감사합니다. 진심으로 환영합니다. 그리고 1세기 훨씬 전에 캐나다교회가 한국에 복음을 전해준 사실에 대해 깊은 감사를 전합니다.

한국교회는 일본의 침략과 내전을 거치면서도 하나님의 은혜로 꾸준히 성장해 왔습니다. 무속주의를 비롯한 신비주의 또는 기복주의를 배격하고 건전한 성경진리를 수호해 왔습니다.
그러나 서구에서 시작된 자유주의 신학운동은 서구교회를 휩쓸 뿐 아니라, 한국교회를 강타했습니다.  한국교회도 서구교회와 같이 위기에 직면하고 있습니다.

세계적으로 진리투쟁은 이미 피할 수 없는 현실이 되었습니다.
우리는 지난 40여 년 동안 비장한 각오로 『성경신학』이라는 무기를 준비해 왔습니다. 
오늘의 긴박한 현실은 진리수호와 전승을 위한 진리투쟁을 위해 대열정비의 필요성을 강하게 느낍니다.
승리가 보장된 진리투쟁을 위해 특정 국가나 단체들의 벽을 허물고 공동전선을 구축해야 하는 과제를 안고 있습니다. 
 
본 대회는 성경진리를 수호하려는 세계 지도자들과 함께 준비된 무기를 서로 공유하려는 몸짓입니다.
그리고 끊임없이 도전해오는 자유주의신학에 대한 공동전선을 구축하기 위한 노력의 일환입니다. 더 나아가 성경진리를 사랑하는 세계인 모두가 그리스도의 한 지체로서의 교제를 위한 배려입니다.

지금 예루살렘으로부터 시작된 말씀운동은 서구를 거쳐 한국을 비롯한 아시아 지역을 향하고 있습니다. 자유주의신학의 돌풍은 태평양에서 수명을 다하고,『성경신학』열풍이 아시아 지역에 불기를 소원합니다.
성경말씀을 사랑하는 지체들이 서로 연합하고 뜻을 모아 말씀운동에 쓰임받기를 기대합니다.

Welcome Address

First of all, let me thank God who allowed us to hold this International Theological Conference today. And thank you very much Dr. Bartholomew for responding positively to our invitation. We welcome you with our whole heart. And we would like to thank Canadian churches so much because they delivered the gospel to us more than a hundred years ago.
Korean churches have been growing steadily by the grace of God, even though we went through the Japanese colonial era and the Korean War. We have been protecting the truth of the Bible in a healthy way by rejecting shamanism, mysticism and prosperity theology. But the western liberal theology movement swept over the whole western churches, and then stroke Korean churches. Now Korean churches are confronted with crisis, like the western churches.
So, struggling for truth is inevitable all over the world. That’s the situation! As a response, our institute have been preparing an instrument, namely, “The Bible Theology” (TBT), which refers to the comprehensive understanding of the whole Bible based on covenant-oriented approach, with resolute determination through the wonderful grace of God for the last 40 years. The tense situation of the day causes us to feel the need to reorganize the line for struggle for truth, which enables us to protect and pass down the biblical truth. When it comes to the struggle for truth, victory had been guaranteed. So we should break down walls of nation and organization, and then we need to form solidarity for truth.
This International Theological Conference is a gesture to share the prepared instruments along with global leaders who protect the truth of the Bible. It is also part of an effort to form solidarity in order to fight against the unceasing challenge of liberal theology including all kinds of humanistic approaches. Furthermore, it’s the attempt that makes all the people who love the truth of the Bible unite into one in Christ.
Now, the gospel (that is, Logos Movement) from Jerusalem had been spread throughout the western countries, and has been spreading in Korea. And the gospel is also heading for other Asian countries. We pray that the liberal theology would pass away in the Pacific, and that TBT (The Bible Theology) achieves a tremendous popularity (say,impact) in Asian countries. So we anticipate that the people who love God’s Word unite and become instrumentals for the genuine witness of the Bible. Thank you.
